We actually know Fulshear

What working Fulshear every week teaches you

Getting to you

Fulshear is a short run southwest of Katy along FM 1093. We have served it since well before the current growth, back when it was still mostly farmland.

The housing stock

Fulshear changed character almost completely after 2010. Most of what stands now is less than fifteen years old, but there is still an older rural core and outlying acreage that predates the master-planned communities by decades.

The water

A genuine split. The newer master-planned sections are on MUD supply; outlying acreage is still frequently on private well water, which brings iron, sediment and sulfur smell into the conversation instead of municipal hardness.

The local pattern

Plumbing problems we see most in Fulshear

Well water problems the city-water playbook does not solve

On acreage outside the MUDs you are dealing with iron staining, sediment, sulfur smell and pressure tank issues rather than municipal hardness. The treatment is different, and so is the diagnosis — a softener alone will not fix iron or odor.

New-construction defects surfacing after the warranty

Fast build-out produces workmanship misses: unsupported lines that hammer, drains run at marginal fall, missed strapping, hose bibs that were never properly sealed. They tend to show up in years two to five, right as the builder warranty runs out.

Tankless units installed without the water treated first

Tankless heaters are common in the newer builds and are far less forgiving of scale than a tank. Without treatment and descaling they throw flow and ignition faults long before their rated life.

Septic systems on the outlying properties

Not everything out here is on sewer. On septic, a slow drain is a different conversation — the fix may be in the field rather than the line, and jetting a line into a failing system makes it worse rather than better.

Do you work on well water systems in Fulshear?

Yes. Well water needs a different approach than municipal — iron, sediment and sulfur odor are treated differently from hardness, and pressure tanks and well pumps are their own diagnosis. We test the water first rather than guessing at equipment.

My house is only three years old. Why do I have plumbing problems?

New does not mean flawless, especially in a fast build-out. Unsupported lines, marginal drain fall and missed strapping all pass a walkthrough and then show up in years two to five. Worth documenting before the builder warranty expires.

Why does my tankless water heater keep throwing errors?

Usually scale. Tankless units are much less tolerant of mineral content than a tank heater, so without treatment and periodic descaling they start reporting flow and ignition faults years early.
